Buchholz. You don't think Panini-Football sticker, Euro bank notes and City-Light posters have a lot in common? They are mainly processed on cutting systems made by SCHNEIDER SENATOR! With more than 40 years of experience with integrated cutting systems SCHNEIDER SENATOR is considered as a pioneer of automation. Thereby, the main subject was to always simplify the work flow and increase productivity. The combination of pile hoist, jogger and restacker can already double the productivity compared to a stand alone machine and immensely takes care of the operators back muscles.

Exemplary, two fields of application should be specified here. Several European bond printers use the fully-automatic cutting line "TS-Sprintcut“. The target in development had been the supply of fully-automatic converting for banknotes without manual intervention of the operator. This system is consisting of three cutters, connected via an integrated conveyor line. Feeding, turning of the stock, cut and, on request, fixing of banderoles can be effected without manual intervention of the operator.

     
 

Since the launch of MAN-Roland 900 and KBA 205 the XXL-formats are up-to-date in the printing industry. Here, SCHNEIDER SENATOR is the most experienced converting partner. The biggest German cutter Senator E-Line 260 with a cutting width of 2,60 metres is successfully operating world-wide for more than 30 years now. The format is ideal for converting of XXL sheets as the diagonal of the maximal format of 1550 x 2050 mm is exactly 2570 mm. Correspondingly the printer needs a cutting width of 2600 mm to be able to turn the format under the knife. Furthermore, in these format classes the peripheral equipment for handling the stock is essential as due to the weight of the stacks alone an automating is mandatory. Appropriate XXL-cutting machines make SCHNEIDER SENATOR were installed at Affiprint Paris/France, Paul Gerin in Wolkersdorf/Austria, Panini in Modena/Italy or Ellerhold AG in Wismar/Germany and in Moscow/Russia recently.

Ellerhold, Germanys largest poster producer for example now has 5 cutting lines make SCHNEIDER SENATOR in production. The latest installation is a cutting system SCHNEIDER SENATOR E-Line 260. The U-shaped system comprises a high-speed cutting machine SENATOR E-Line 260 and a jogger, a movable transfer table line as well as a restacker. All components are designed for processing of the maximum format of 1550 x 2050 mm and are characterized by an extremely robust, warp resistant construction which is essential with these big paper formats and weights to guarantee longevity and precision.

The cutting plants make SCHNEIDER SENATOR are CIP 4-compatible and comprise cut optimizer, correction module, touch screen monitor and digitally adjustable clamp pressure. Optionally, fully automatic feeding, automatic waste removal and automatic restacking to several pallets are available so that all individual customer requirements can be realized. Additionally, the plants can be linked to further processing machines, for instance packing machines, multiple banding machines or die cutters.
