In December 2005, Jens Cajan and Danilo Schmieding were tired of their life as employees and took the chance to go into a business on themselves. Obviously, both founders hit the bull's eye in the Koblenz area with their courageous step, because now, two years later, C+S Druck have a considerable machine outfit and 7 employees as well as two apprentices.
In the prepress section, they focus on Esko-Graphics, Epson and Mac technology, printing is effected on Ryobi 525 GX, Tyobi 755 P and a Heidelberg platen press. In the processing section they operate FKS-Duplo and Horizon machines. The most important partners in C+S investment plannings was and still is Grafitech who consistently advised C+S right from the start of foundation.
They began with a second-hand cutting machine size 115 with jogger. Shortly, the productivity of this old machine of 1985 was not sufficient anymore. In addition, the manufacturer could no longer guarantee the spare parts supply so that C+S steadily were confronted with the risk of production downtimes. At the beginning of 2007, they therefore decided to invest in a modern cutting system. Here, the partner Grafitech could submit a convincing offer, as the Frankfurt company just had taken over the sales and service for the Schneider Senator products. Hence, Jens Cajan and Danilo Schmieding accompanied by their marketing consultant Mirco Wessel visited Senator Technology in Northern Germany for configuration of a corresponding custom-made cutting system.
Finally, they came to a decision: A Senator S-Line 115 H with touch-screen control, clamp cover plate in special narrow version of 50 mm for cutting business cards and retractable rear cover for knife cleaning. The cutting machine is equipped with two pile hoists and a jogger with air removal roller. They knowingly decided the second pile hoist being equipped with pre-piling device as a more favourable alternative to a restacker, because straight-edge restacking of the accruing volumes and sparing the operator's back can be effected as well.
